    I'll start it off with something green for my St. Patrick's Day post: A Nicobar pigeon in the aviary.

    Morning Commute


    A bit of trivia that I picked up on my last trip: The prey animals in this area of the trail have a clear view of the tigers and vice versa. Apparently it's important that both groups get that occasional andrenaline boost so they don't get too comfortable in captivity.

    Do any of you amateur ornithologists recognize these birds? I can't match them to anything on the bird guide, and the last time I visited tha aviary all of the CMs were too busy for me to ask about them.
