Halloween on the left coast is celebrated in DCA. It's different, but in a good way. Oogie Boogie knows how to throw a party.

The parade is called the Frightfully Fun Parade and Ichabod Crane is the first person you see.

The big deal at the 2022 Oogie Boogie Bash was the first appearance of Ernesto de la Cruz from Coco. They did an excellent job of creating a life-size version of the animated character.

Unlike Disney World, the Headless Horseman at Oogie Boogie Bash is actually in the Frightfully Fun Parade. He's right behind Ichabod Crane (naturally), and is moving at a very slow walk. As a result, it's easy to get a shot or three of him as he goes by.

Both MNSSHP and Oogie Boogie Bash have Treat Trails, which are where you walk by several barrels of goodies and cast members who put some of the goodies in your bag. The DCA difference is that there is a villain at the end of the trail interacting with guests. In 2022, the villains included Sid (Andy's psycho neighbor from Toy Story), Maleficent, Mother Gothel, Madame Mim (from The Sword in the Stone), Doctor Facilier and Ernesto de la Cruz. The trail in Hollywood Land featured Cruella modeling her latest fashion.

Hades is normally looking up at us. In the Frightfully Fun Parade, he's looking down on us.

The Mayor of Halloween Town is happy to take a drive through DCA and campaign for re-election.

But at the end of his drive, we get the feeling that things didn't go as well as he hoped.

The Cars in Radiator Springs all pitch in to decorate the town for Haul-o-ween. Town Hall is particularly spooky.

The Haunted Mansion dancers in California use more modern choreography than Florida. It's hard to catch in a still photo, so you'll have to settle for this.
