Pop Century, AOA, Or AllStars Music

Weve been to WDW 2x and stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. We’re planning on going back in February 2019(usually stay 6 days) and staying at either Pop Century, AOA or AllStars Music. I saw somewhere online about the AllStars Resorts sharing buses and that it’s a long wait, etc. We like PO Riverside, but really don’t spend much time there, we leave the room at 730/8am and return 830/9pm. There’s just 2 of us(adults) and don’t mind walking. Kind of leaning towards Pop Century. Has anyone stayed at these three and recommend one over the others? Thank you

Based on what you your post says, I think Pop would be best. I have stayed at all those places and the buses at Pop are good and do not share with any resort.

Traditionally, I've been a fan of Pop. I'm not a fan of the latest renovation, but I'm in the minority about that. The bathroom is nice, as is the mattress, but I prefer a carpeted floor.

Art of Animation is all family-type rooms that are much more expensive except for the Little Mermaid section, which is very similar to Pop. The mermaid rooms were nice the one time I stayed there.

The nice thing about Pop and AoA is that the resorts are so close together that you can use either bus when it's time to leave the park.

The All-Stars aren't bad. They always seem crowded due to group bookings. Yes, they do share buses, but during peak hours each resort will have its own bus.

Thanks everyone. ddindy, I’m with you I prefer carpet too, but not sure if it’ll be a deal breaker?

It's a matter of taste. Most of the reviews I've heard are happy that they've done away with the carpet.

I like Pop out of those but have not stayed in the new rooms. All Star Sports is the first pickup headed to the parks when they're running shared busses so you have a better chance at a seat but that doesn't help any on the return trip from the park.

Thank you. We’ll have to compare prices when we book for next February. We really like PO Riverside, but all we’re doing is sleeping there, we leave at 8am and return at 9pm+. It’s just 2 of us seniors.

  8. Those cement floors at Pop were really hard on your feet after a long day at the parks. Housekeeping is also extremely short staffed and they are just dry Swiffering the floors, so the floors are always dirty. They need to be wet mopped but housekeeping lacks the ability or desire to clean the floors that way.

Joanie, Thank you for the information. Are all the Value Resorts like this, non-carpeted and ‘light’ on the housekeeping?

  10. I think the All Stars are still carpeted and I believe they have 2 full size beds (not Queen size like Pop).

Joanie - thank you. We’ll book in a few months for next February, we’ll have to compare prices, between AllStars Music, POP, AOA, and the moderates. For Pixelmania I’m not sure where I’m going to stay, maybe AOA, going have to decide shortly.
