One of the great parts of this airshow in Reading, PA. is all the reenactors. ; Once you walk away from the flightline, you are immersed into hundreds of tents and vehicles, all looking like they would have during WWII. ; Since my father and I arrived at 7:30 for the 8:30 opening and the show does not start until 12:30, this was a great way for us to pass the time waiting for the planes to fly (some planes do go up every hour with passengers that purchased rides). ; There are easily more than 100 vehicles all from the WWII era.

I could not help but think of the 4077th when I saw this jeep.

Here a soldier prepares his machine gun nest just in front of his tent and one of the four B-25's that flew at the show.

As a child I always love these vehicles. ; I always called them halftracks, yet I am sure there is a more specific name.

    More WWII Weekend

Here are a few more Jeff, I should have some planes ready this weekend.

This particular camp set up as it being Christmas at Guadalcanal. ; I think they are not to fond of Tojo.

This is a French village where they reenact a battle between the Germans and US soldiers. ; the whole reenactment takes about 15 minutes and during this time you hear a TON of fake gunfire from anywhere you are at the airport.

And this one reminds me again of MASH, even though the shower is outside.

Very cool. Supposedly there will be re-enactors at the Lost Nation air show in Ohio along with the B-17 Sentimental Journey, but I doubt it will be as extensive as this.

Here are some more of the vehicles from the weekend
