Hello,
; I just got my first DLSR (Canon XS) in November and started doing portraits recently. The first one was from my first photoshoot for a friend (how can she resist a free photo session?) and the second was on my lake at sunset. I was looking for duckings and the sun was casting a wicked reddish hue off the clouds and the water. The first photo had some Photoshop done, the lilypads have not. Let me know what you think!

Very nice. ; I love the portrait, and the lily pads have an abstract feel to them; very photogenic.
 
Thanks JB. I love Photoshop. it's very intimidating at first, but with some patience, a lot of reading and trial and error I've become comfortable with it.
