Lars Edegran and the St. Peter Street All Stars. Lars is the piano player who I met earlier in the day at the convention center. The banjo player is Seva Venet who has been playing music since he was a teenager playing for tips in Jackson Square. The clarinet player is Tommy Sancton who is a Harvard grad, Rhodes scholar at Oxford and former bureau chief for Time Magazine in Paris. He is also one of the best clarinet players that I have ever heard. ; Clive Wilson is on trumpet.

Nice set of shots! I just love seeing photos of my home town. The backside of St. Louis Cathedral is spooky at night with that statue shadow. Did you go inside the cathedral? There is sooooo much history in NOLA. My grandfather was one of the best clarinet players of all time. His name was Harry Shields. When he retired from traveling(playing jazz around the world), he played at Preservation Hall.

Anyway, if anyone makes it down to NOLA, I'd love to meet up. Maybe do a photo walk around the Quarter.

Next time I'm in town Harry, I'll take you up on that offer!

Yes I did get inside the Cathedral. ; It's really beautiful. ; I just grabbed a few hand held shots so I would not disturb anyone worshiping there.
