HELP!! Some how got these two programs,Ultimate Defender and Ultimate Fixer, on my computer and they are causing all sorts of havoc. The have place an icon in the lower right corner of my taskbar. Clicking on the icon brings up a window titled Security Center with both these programs listed. Looks like something that would have been put out by Microsoft. From what I have read these are bogus programs pretending to be spyware removal programs when in reality they are spyware. I have run AdAware twice and Norton twice and neither can get rid it. Anyone had experience with these programs and, more importantly, know how to get rid of them?
Hmm. Looking on google for remove ultimate defender came up with some more software to download! Go figure. Found this: http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=3644 I use TrendMicro, it seems to work pretty well. Even blocks ads on webpages that are questionable.
