Dateline Disney. As I was not able to get into the Magic Kingdom until later for a MNSSHP, I took some photos from the Ferry Dock using the Nikon 28-300VR lens. ; Not great until they flew directly overhead. ; The first one does show how high they were when they buzzed Main Street USA. ;
Great shots Scott! ; I saw this was happening about the time that it was going on. ; I was tied up running errands and couldn't get free. ; Now, my mom is coming in this weekend, so I have to take her to the airport on Monday. ; Ugh!
Awesome shots Scott. ; Even though the F-16's are off in the distance in the first one, I still love it with the castle below!
I was told about this the day before the flyover by a very talkative Photopass photographer at the Partner's Statue. ; Apparently, there was an air show nearby and Disney convinced them to to a flyover. ; All the photopass photographers who weren't operating a station that day were told to report to the Main Street to fire off as many frames as they could during the flyover. I was told they were then going to cull through all the shots, pick out the best, print them up as 8x10's and hand them out to whoever asked for them. ; I was also told that I should contact guest relations for Photopass, give them my photopass number and tell them that I was unable to be at Main Street that day and see if they could send me a copy of the print
Oh man, I wish I had known about this, I would have made sure I was there for it! Nice captures, Scott. Erich
One last photo of the T-birds. ; This from directly over my head. ; Almost fell over backwards! ; ;D ; BTW, no cropping here. Nikon D700/28-300VR, 1/2500s, f/5.6, ISO 1100, EV +0.3, 300mm FL
nice job Scott. I know how hard that is. I have tried shooting peregrine falcons circling overhead and was not successful
very nice. ; really like the final shot. ; i can hear the roar of the engines...what a great experience.
