Good one - I like the way you caught the smoke billowing out.

Thanks, Roger! ; Looks like the 18mm was a good focal length to use to get the trailing passenger cars.

prettypixie, the path between Toontown and Tomorrowland is a great place to photograph the trains. ; The engineers will put on a 'show' for you if you have a camera in your hand with the steam and whistle going.

I tried a little panning in that same location, when the Walter E Disney was going past - unfortunately it was a horrible rainy overcast day, but I used my UWA lens and panned with a slower shutter for some background blur:

Nice shot, Justin. ; How slow a shutter speed did you have to use? ; I think the bad day probably helped. ; On a bright sunny day, you probably couldn't get the shutter slow enough without using some ND filters.

    Thanks.

1/60 was enough...because of the UWA's sensitivity to angle and movement, even slow tracking with one at the wider settings will give you lots of movement. ; I think you could generate some panning blur at 1/100 with a UWA, even with something as slow as the train.

Overcast definitely helped, and I was at F8 too so I was stopped down a bit...could have stopped down more if needed, but F8 was enough with that lens.

Thanks, Justin, for the information. ; Will have to put that on my shot list and give it a try.
