can catch them in flight. next is getting one grabbing a fish when they dive for one but they move so fast
Considering the size of these birds, Howie, it would be quite a feat to give one diving. ; Might go auto continuous everything including 3D Matrix metering and hope the camera catches up to the bird before he hits the water. Also, considering the size of these birds, this is one heck of a good photo.
thanks Roger, Michael and Scott. I have gotten them diving in and getting the splash around them but you can only see part of them sticking out of the water. What I have been doing is when I see them hoover I pre-focus below them where I think they will dive in and then watch them over the body and when they dive down I shoot in burst mode and hope to time it right. I need to practice this alot and hopefully get it right
