I am going to try and get down this weekend to take some pictures, but the tall ships are in Halifax. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/story/2012/07/18/ns-tall-ships-photo-gallery.html
The Privateer Lynx is one of them. I did a daysail on her a couple of years ago. Do try and get down there. They are something to see. Sent from my fabulous iPhone 4
I'm jealous! ; Love tall ships, love Halifax, and would love to put the two together! ; Had them here during OpSail in Miami years ago, and it was wonderful to see dozens of the tall ships from all over the world...ended up doing a sail on the Rose - which was later bought by a film studio and used to film "Master and Commander: Far Side of the World" with Russell Crowe. ; Eagle was there as well. ; Sailaway is always fantastic, when the crew all line the yards high up in the masts and rigging. BTW - do they have the Bluenose II finished with her restoration? ; I was quite disappointed to not see her at Lunenburg as they said she was undergoing a big resto until 'summer 2012'.
They are still working on her, they are selling pieces of her off to people .. We have some of her hull. when were you in Halifax last? We moved back here from Calgary.
Some Halifax pics... I was in Halifax in October 2011...it was the reason I missed the last Pixelmania! ; Here's a little of my photowalk around Halifax last year:
Ahh..memories. I didn't get back to Halifax this year but hopefully next year. I remember the Tall Ships. Always a great time to be down at the waterfront.
