OK Gang. Here is a little series I shot at one of my son's recent Swim Team meets. This was my first outing with the 70-200, 2.8. For this series, the teams were in the midst of their Breast Stroke & I decided to lay flat on the end of the pool to shoot these as the swimmers were coming toward me. My objective was to Zoom in while they were a ways from me, with the intent of having just the right Focal Length to capture a couple close ups as they were about to touch my end of the pool before heading back the other way for their final lap. All of these images are as they were shot with no post processing. I was shooting on Manual mode with Spot Metering @ a 3.2 Aperature. Remaining EXIF data posted above each image.

pretty good stuff, esp since those are usually sodium vapor lights, and they give a nasty color cast
not afraid of a splash on the equipment when they do that turn around kick thingie??
after further review, are these an outdoor pool??, thus no color cast

Thanks for the input. These were actually shot outdoors at about high noon. There were a lot of high clouds that kept playing havoc with the sun going from really bright to full shadow. As for the water, I had a beach towel handy & just before they did their kick, i would quickly cover up.

Great shots! ; I always love seeing the water "frozen" in these types of photos.
