This is more than I thought we would get already. Very well done, WDI! Can't wait to ride this in January!
Score! I was sincerely hoping this went according to schedule. Can't wait to try it out in December. ; ;D
I'll be there on November 28th to ride it. ; I'm' sure I'll get lots of time to try out those new video panels while I wait in line. There's a cast member preview for SM coming up soon. ; I'll see what my daughter thinks of it.
most of the exterior construction walls are down, new decorations are in place, the TTA interior privacy walls are down, and the exit tunnel is viewable once again as well. ; might need to be a PM impromptu meet...
Another little update from the Disney Parks Blog: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2 ... on-update/ It looks like SM is going to be lots of fun when it reopens, as long as my beloved Star Tunnel music stays around!
Attractions magazine announced on facebook earlier today that SM was in a soft opening mode today for sometime. ; I haven't been able to confirm this yet, though. ; Tim are you still in the parks?
Cory will be happy, they kept the tunnel music. ; Looks like a first person shooter version of Asteroids to me. That's a good thing. ;
Yeah, all things considered, I'll give this refurb a thumbs up. They didn't change too much, which is fine by me as I consider SM to be a classic. But the changes that they did seem to work well, and yes, the beloved Star Tunnel music is still around. Kudos WDI!
I rode the new space mountain ride on the 21st of Nov. The stand by line is now interactive The ride itself seems the same. And yes the music is the same. One thing I didn't like was they changed the narration on the TTA ride no more paging Mr. Tom Morrow. Very disappointing!!!!
Overall, I didn't think much was noticable, if you weren't looking for it. (Aside from the interactive queue, which I Fast Passed on.) I did miss my friend from the post show...
