I love all of these. I definitely am getting a straight-on view on Main Street next time I try to photograph Wishes. Here's one I got from Tomorrowland Terrace:

Roger, these are all magnificent, and I think worthy of printing and framing. How much of the success of the shoot do you attribute to the camera vs. you just knowing how to use it/set it up? Did you have to do much post processing on these? I am really impressed by these.

Figment, great shot, even if it is a little off to the site. I like the different perspectives.

    Roger,

On the first two, can you give out the Exif data and the location on Main Street you set up the tripod?

    Thanks!

Great frames Roger! Just north of Casey's on these?

I would say 25% camera, 75% rest. Now celebrating 10 years of Disney Fireworks photography :)

I did a decent amt of post processing. But A2 made it go quickly! I bumped up the vibrance to the max, sat up a little, turned down the exposure (to try and recover some of the highlights; on the finale one I think I went -3EV in post), then turned down the highlights even further, and bumped up the shadows in some to recover the castle. No WB adjustments. Cropping on most.

One problem I've found with digital fireworks is that it is too easy to blow out the highlights. Ten years ago with print film, you had much more latitude and it was kind of easier...Set the aperture at f/8, remote release on bulb, and expose the scene at various times to capture the whole burst. If I were to use that method now I would more than likely blow out the castle.....I guess I could use the multiple exposure feature that Nikon has built in, but I have a few more tricks to try *next time*.

Little more north. I would say about right in between Casey's and the Hub. I used the trolley tracks for two of my tripod legs (to try and reduce people bumping into it....didn't want my 700 to have a drop the first week!)

See above for the latter, and

I used spot metering to give me a decent idea for castle exposure, and live view to fine tune focus at 100%.
