I'm sure she looks right in character when watching the parades and such. The problem I've found is that the characters (those not inside a false head!) are extremely hard to photograph because throughout entire parades, shows, etc, they continually talk, change expressions, and 'act' in the role. You almost have to use burst mode with them to catch a normal expression without a face being made! I've got dozens of shots of characters like this making 'oooh' and 'aaaah' and 'grrrr' faces, depending on what they were acting out when I pressed the shutter.
