Sigma announces 46mp SD1 SLR, two new lenses

    The SD1 uses a 15.3mp Foveon sensor, so it's 46mp, but the resolution is equivalent to 15.3mp. ; Foveon is where digital technology needs to go - the CMOS sensor is just like film where the different wavelengths of light are recorded at different depths, so for every pixel, the sensor records a distinct red, blue and green value. ; Basically it has the ability to handle white balance better than anything else out there....I wonder how the noise is with this new sensor. ; Ships in February (don't hold your breath)

    They have also updated the 120-300 f/2.8 and 150/2.8 macro lenses with OS, HSM.
