all those arriving for 12/1 check in, my flight gets in mid-afternoon, so i will get to ak, just probably not by 4:30, maybe more like 5:00i'd like to able to contact the group and meet up, paul will be with me, and i will definitely be leading the way over to fort wilderness after 8:00,
I'm arriving early evening on the 1st, JetBlue only has one flight a day back and forth from here, but hey, it's not Spirit. Pop Century for me!
My flight lands at 12:15. ; After I check in and get lunch I plan to head straight over to AK. ; But I'm a little rusty on my fireworks shooting and I also want to try shooting with a ND filter before the MVMCP meet, so I'll be leaving AK early to run over to the TTC to shoot Wishes at 8 and then run over to EPCOT to shoot Illuminations at 9:30.
WOW Mike, that sounds ambitious! ; I should be around on that night, but I won't know for sure until I get my new schedule.
I get in at 10:30 am. ; Unfortunately, I'm already committed to dinner at Trail's End from 5 to 7, so I won't make it to AK. ; Right now, I plan on meeting everyone for the Ft. Wilderness meet (unless it gets canceled like last year).
I will be there starting on Sunday the 28th (taking the whole week off). ; However, I will probably be taking it easy on Wednesday night and preparing myself for the days ahead. ; Now I just need to purchase my MVMCP Tickets for the 2nd. ; See everyone there...
I've tried crazier stuff ; ;D ; But I think its possible to make it. ; Wishes starts at 8:00 and is about 12 min long. ; I should be able to catch a Monorail by 8:20 which leaves me 1hr 10min to before Illuminations starts at 9:30. ; I should be able to walk around to Japan in 20 minutes so that leaves 50 minutes for the monorail ride and getting through security so I think I can make it.
As Gary mentioned I will be arriving mid-afternoon and looking forward to AK night shooting for the first time. Michael I like your aggressive schedule, go for it! ; I also like the idea of using an ND filter, need to look into that one.
I am only booked for the 2nd through 5th nights...so though I could get the day off and get up there on the 1st, I'd have no place to sleep - so it'd either be all-nighter, sleep in my car, or get an el-cheapo roach motel room out on 192. ; So I'll probably miss the 1st. ; Hopefully I can drive up fairly early am on Thu the 2nd so I can make the earliest meet.
I'm still trying to negotiate the "kitchen pass". ; After our trip to WDW next week, I think I'll have earned a free leg on Southwest so it'll make the trip more attractively priced since that is less money that I'd have to spend.
As I'm local, I'll definitely be there on the 1st for the AK meet up, but I probably won't do the Wilderness walk. Erich
Really looking forward to the AK night on the 1st. ; Only thing I need to do is pick up an annual pass when I get there. ; I can do that right at the AK ticket booth correct?
I picked up my AP before the AK meet last year, stopping at Guest Relations to the left of the entrance. ; You can also get it at any other Guest Relations location, including the one in Downtown Disney.
