This is probably a really silly question, but . . . I understand the priciples of reciprocity failure for film but, as it is based on the lessening responsiveness of film with extended exposure, am I right in thinking it does not apply when shooting digital? With it being winter, I am determined to play night shots and haven't done this since going digital. Tips welcome!
You are correct - reciprocity failure is not a problem with digital long-exposure shots. However, there are some other problems in digital, including noise buildup.
