Awesome again Jeff - compliments to the artist. I think that one will have to be added to the coffee shirt for me too. I'd be interested in the same big-butt size as last time - wonder if I could get the shirt in a color this time? If it's a standard shirt like Hanes Beefy-T I would love to get a color one. Let me know if possible - don't mind paying extra if it costs more.
I believe that they have a standard stock set of colors. I will ask them what colors would work best with the colors of the art. Obviously the lighter colors work better but not sure how it will offset the colors in the art (if at all). I will have the Mulch art back this next weekend and will find out more about shirts overall at that time.
There's a Texas Orange color I like in the Hanes line - that might have a rusty, pirate-y look - maybe a tan/beige/earth color might be OK too. Just want to add to my color variety as I have a fair number of white T-s already! I'll wait to hear what the professionals have to say and what's available.
The printer said that any color will add some of its color to the color of the art, so "buyer beware". He did say that lighter colors are better than darker, but they can do the darker colors if desired. However, with the darker colors they will print a white background first but that significantly adds to the cost of the shirt. As much as 400-600%. The good news is that the most basic shirt is like $5, so even a dark shirt would run maybe around $20-$30 (which for a decent quality shirt is about the price you'd pay in a store). Anyway, the photo below is the shirt style the printer uses for their basic shirts. Sizes from small to 3XL (they can do up to a 6XL but it will be a different style and slightly add to cost).
