try the chili cheese dog...it's fantastic. ever notice that the rest rooms are right behind where jim plays the ragtime piano... coincidence?
Ah, a beef hot dog with beef chili on top. A vegetarian's dream. I probably won't be getting any of those soon.
I had a hot dog there a few trips ago. The truth is I've become kind of a hot dog elitist. An ordinary dog with ketchup and mustard is decent, but I'm really getting into regional dogsregional dogs. Like at the Milwaukee Zoo I had a Milwaukee Brat (okay, so it's not technically a hot dog). It had onions and brown mustard and sauerkraut. The sauerkraut made it a bit messy, but it was a nice change. In Chicago we have a chain called Gold Coast Dogs that I finally got to test out after flying back from the last Mousefest. It was really unique, they call them chardogs and now I know why. They cook them until the skin is crispy! I don't know how it's done, I'd like to find out, but it was really good, except maybe occasionally it was a little tough to bite off a piece because the skin isn't soft anymore. I don't go in for the traditional Chicago style hot dog though, it's got too much stuff on top. The tomato slices are, to me, excessive, and I really dislike pickles so the pickle relish and pickle spear is just disgusting to me. Still I'd had aspirations to get a hot dog at Disney World for ages. I'm not certain of this anymore, but I thought they had hot dog vendor carts in Tommorowland. I'd always wanted to get a hot dog there for some reason. Yeah, I know about The Lunching Pad, but there's something about the classic appeal of eating from a vendor cart. But it seems I'm never there at the right time to catch them if they do have carts there at all, so I had a dog at Casey's. No chili, I think I just put mustard and ketchup on it. I can't deny that I enjoyed strolling through the Magic Kingdom while munching on a hot dog. I don't go in for the turkey leg thing, and I generally don't get ice cream or the other traditional foods to eat while walking around. It's compatible with the commando style park tactic, I can get food and go, yet I can still casually stroll while I eat, it sort of gives me an excuse to at least slow down and take in my surroundings. I'd never analyzed it before but that's what it was like, I got to be walking out in the park without being specifically on my way to destination X.
Dear Casey, Drop & give me 20 for the 10+ pounds you helped me gain over the past 15 years. Thanks & stuff!
