    From the Main Street Confectionary. Inspired by Scott Dommin to take more portraits, I asked her if I could take her picture.

    Very good start Craig. ; I would crop her closer so it was just her face with the cotton candy being in the lower left corner....but that's just me.

    What a captivating smile she has. ;

    I agree with Roger, since the surrounding environment doesn't say much, I'd crop it as he suggested. ; BTW, bounce that flash. ; :)

    Not sure if the flash-to-ceiling distance / subject to focal plane is in a proper ratio for bouncing off the ceiling....pull out card bounce?

    plus I was shooting in between the plexiglass panels. and the sb-400 doesnt have enough oomph to bounce in a room that big. and it doesnt swivel sideways

    Lovely shot - I'm looking at the final version, with the closer crop and the hot spot removed. ; Very nice job! ; With all those light colors, that's a harder one to meter without having some blown out areas, so I'd say it's pretty well controlled especially considering no bounce or diffuser.

    That was a killer smile, a nice closed up picture Craig. She is like an artist with a cotton candy in her hand. ;D You got a nice portrait. ; ;)
