A couple of railfans in the group took the Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour Thursday morning during Pixelmania. ; I haven't gotten to the rest of my shots from the tour yet, but I did process one I took of Main Street Station before the start of the tour:
Our guide, Conductor Gary, sat his hat down while waiting for the group to arrive outside of MK. ; I just wish I had adjusted the towel before taking the shot. The man in charge
nice shots guys, both of them, and michael, you need to get processing, western maryland isn't that far away
Thanks, Gary! ; Funny you should mention that... I'm working on processing shots right now to make space for the WMSR. ; Resorts and AK are finished and I'm working my way through EPCOT now. ; I'd be farther along, but I had a case of bronchitis and laryngitis over Christmas and didn't feel like doing much of anything.
Ah, the old Statue of Liberty play. ; Wait, they forgot to ask the folks on the tour if anyone brought the key with them to start the ignition... ; Of course they're looking for a lighter when they ask for the key
Here are two of mine from that tour. ; I did not like most of my shots, I guess they are missing the amazing scenery that Michael and Gary have on their Maryland tour. ; Decided to go with a little B&W for this one. Here's an article that I wrote about the tour: http://land.allears.net/blogs/guestblog/2013/01/the_magic_behind_our_steam_tra_1.html
Nice work John! ; I like the B&W treatment on the number plate. ; That tour is difficult to shoot on since there always seems to be someone standing in the shot. ; I had a great shot of the tour guide standing in the engine house lined up but the kid in the neon orange hoodie kept getting into the shot. ; I guess I'll have to do the tour again. Nice review of the tour, Scott!
Nice job on the tour report, Scott. Next time we need to book an exclusive tour like we did for the Wild Africa Trek. ; Then at least we'd know the idiot standing in all our shots.
Next year, if we do this again, I won't be left on the outside holding the bag, I assure you. ; Thanks for sharing the link, Scott.
