Okay, now I am completely sold on that Sony NEX. The pictures you are producing with it are incredible.
You know a third party does sell a full EF-NEX Adapter that allows use of IS and aperture control on the lens ; ; (can't vouch for AF speed though)
Thanks Colin...and Tim. ; Indeed it's wonderful to have a lightweight kit alternative where you don't have to compromise image quality and shooting versatility too much. ; I was a little worried about committing myself to only the NEX on DHS day, but after two straight days of lugging the big camera bag, tripod, and DSLR for all the night shooting at Epcot and AK, I just really wanted to go light on the last day so I could enjoy it. ; The tiny red bag carried 3 lenses, plus the one mounted on camera, and the whole thing was under 2lbs. ; About the only thing I'm hoping they'll release in the lens collection are a semi-fast longer telephoto zoom or prime - nothing super-heavy or crazy, but a 200mm F3.5 prime or a 250mm F4 zoom would be fast enough and still be small and light enough. ; I've even got a manual Vivitar 200mm F3.5 I use with it, and a lightweight stabilized e-mount version would be very cool. BTW Rog - that adapter would be fairly slow for action type shots, but probably fine for scenics, landscapes, and casual shooting...and it does give aperture control. ; It's neat to see those types of adapters being worked on - I hear rumor the same is being worked on for other brands of lens. Still, the camera is decent enough at high ISO that you can just crank it up to make up for the slowish F6.3 zoom, which is what I did. ; I didn't even get tired feet walking back to Boardwalk after DHS, like I normally do!
No - I went without the TC for these. ; I had brought it with me, but 210mm was generally enough for most of these shows, at least for where we were sitting.

It's $400: http://www.metabones.com/sony/buy-eos-nex-adapter But it will allow AF, aperture adjustments, IS use, and EXIF data to pass through.
That is pretty awesome, limited as it is. That said, my biggest reason for wanting a mirrorless system is to try to lighten my load and not have to carry all the heavy stuff around.
Well the adapter is to act as a bridge so you don't have to replace every single one of your lenses while adding something new.
Here are a few of my favorite shots from show... Heeeere's Indy! Looks fine to me... That was easy... A little too easy... Whip it... Whip it good! (Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk)
