The Pixelmania! gang traveled the world to bring back photographic treasures... Cantina de San Angel Restaurant in Mexico. A model of a dragon-headed craft of Eric the Red found in Norway. The very ornate ceiling of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest in China. Ah, Tim, could you move out of the frame next time? ; President Teddy Roosevelt and John Muir discuss conservation issues during the American Adventure. Photographing the Gingerbread Carousel at the Beach Club after it was decided to skip Illuminations due to the rain. ; Tim never did take a piece to try. ; The weather was terrible but Epcot is a good park to be at in the rain. ; I think Test Track is the only attraction that gets shutdown when it rains. ; Bring a tripod and/or flash, have a way to comfortably get from one place to the next and enjoy those movies like we did.
Great shots! Yeah, the outside part of TT might be a little tough. Rain drops hitting you in the face while youre going 60 mph??? Not my idea of fun!
Believe it or not, that thing was running at 12:45pm, while raining lightly, on my way to Mexico for the World Showcase meeting. ; Not sure how many people were on it, but a few were heading in the entrance, and the cars were whizzing around the outside of the track. ; Maybe they brought goggles!
Here's some of my World Showcase meet shots - both in the official Mexico location and a few walking around the very wet showcase. And before anyone asks - no processing - all straight from camera. ; The HDR effect in the Mexico village is straight out of the camera, as I was experimenting with the HDR mode turned up a few notches to see what it turned out. ; It's a fun option for sure, used sparingly of course! Rain, Rain, Rain...
Yes, very nice shots Justin! ; (although I think you may need an external flash....did I see a lens shadow in one?)
Yep! ; My stupid mistake actually - I was using the lens hood outside for rain protection to avoid drops on the lens, and neglected to take it off when I opened the built-in flash for the mariachis. ; Oops! (I do have an external flash as well, but didn't bring it that day - it was too rainy and messy for anything but the camera and lens...I left the rest back in the room.
Did you guys spend anytime shooting the terra cotta warriors in China? ; I am looking forward to seeing them if you did!

We spent quite a bit of time in China. [attachments posted prior to 4/27/2010 have been deleted by admin. be sure to link images to make sure they don't get removed]
Yep, the Tomb Warriors were there... I tried a bit of creative processing here. I think I found the fiercest warrior in the room here.
Nice stuff! ; I didn't get the warriors this time - got them a few trips ago so I didn't think about it this time.
Nice work! ; I spent some time in the terra cotta warrior room too. ; About a half hour on Wednesday with my 18-55 mm and my 10-24 but went back yesterday with all my lenses. ; I think I got some cool stuff! ; Will post soon! ; Isn't the lighting a pain in there though???
