Awesome pictures Jeff... ; hey, I'll probably see you down there sometime this weekend... ; I just booked a last minute trip with my 8 yr old daughter Olivia... ; We'll be flying in tomorrow arriving late!
It was fun, and I'll end up with a few keepers. This one was with the camera laying on top of a railing. Erich [attachthumb=1] [attachments posted prior to 4/27/2010 have been deleted by admin. be sure to link images to make sure they don't get removed]
Nice going, Jeff! ; Here's some of my photos from the evening. ; First the Tree of Life. Here's my attempt of the TOL waterfall. ; Still needs work but Jeff has given me a standard to shoot for. We then moved over for the Everest shot. ; Though it was too cloudy for getting the moon shot I was looking for, I think we all came away with good stuff. Used off camera flash on the last two to put light on to the foreground subjects using Nikon's Creative Lighting System (CLS) and my Nikon SB-600.
Very nice set Scott- my EE shot above was what I had in mind for the moon also. ; Gotta leave something for next time I guess.
Now sure who (maybe Dennis) mentioned doing a zoom effect. ; So I did one over a 20 second exposure and it came out like this.
I like how the reflection got soft with the water ripples with this long exposure. ; I used your railing technique in Norway a couple of days later. ;
Nice work on the AK shots guys. Jeff, I REALLY, REALLY like that bike shot....my other obsession besides photography is cycling and I love taking photos of all the bikes, but than angle is really sweet.
