Before we begin bombarding this thread with photos of the animatronic lion on patrol, let's start off with this one: Kilimanjaro Safaris - Lonely Tree by TheMagicInPixels, on Flickr
verse "i'll just stop right here" chorus " YES YOU WILL" ok, i'll break the ice, just the usual cliched animatronic lion on patrol, yeah i know, we've all shot this hundreds of times, but why not do it again
I got basically that same shot as Gary (the lewd one)...the difference between he and I is that I'm not posting it! ; Actually, I'm rather surprised at all you people that already got your photos processed. ; Sheesh! ; I've been so buried at work that I have only had an hour or two a night to try to go through photos...I'm about 2/3 the way through sorting...should be able to finish up tomorrow night since it's Friday.
dude, nothing about gary should surprise you anymore! BTW, i haven't slept much since PM ended... been working like a fool trying to get pics done.
there's where the netbook has proven it's little self to be worthy, i arrived home with all processed to dng over night each night, and the obvious junk culled while doing gate time (formerly the hardest time to do) and finished culling on the plane ride. and i'm just doing the finish pp on a select few right now so as to have 1-2 for the various pixelmania threads.
I have hardly touched my shots as well. ; So far I've only processed my LMA, IJSS and GMR shots along with the shots from the Jim Korkis tour and only one of my fireworks shots. ; Hopefully work will slow down a little next week and I'll have some time to process my shots.
I finally got to Animal Kingdom last night before I retired to bed. ; So at least I'm on the last day now! ; But of course, that's just the initial cull, process, and touchup for my slideshow of keepers. ; Then I've got to go BACK with all of those, and resize & upload the web versions. ; I'm hoping to have mine finished off tonight, if not miniaturized and uploaded by then.
Taking inspiration from Tim, I figured I'd start with a scenic too, rather than an animal. ; Animals follow (all shots posted smaller, with a 1024x pixel link below each) - Here's an African dusk view over a baobab: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/1 ... iginal.jpg And now some animals. ; First, some shots with the 300mm F4. Here's a pelican: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/1 ... iginal.jpg A reeeeaaaaallllly closeup of a giraffe (300mm + crop body was way too close): http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/1 ... iginal.jpg Baby elephant: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/1 ... iginal.jpg Bunch of horned things: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/1 ... iginal.jpg Proof that there are cheetahs displayed, but their animatronics are broken as often as the lions: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/1 ... iginal.jpg Lion...during trip #1 - the animatronics were on light duty - only the head was up and moving, but the walking function was disabled: http://www.pbase.com/zackiedawg/image/1 ... iginal.jpg
