OK, there were a few possibly interested in dinner at Jiko. ; I was throwing around Saturday and Thursday as possible days, but Saturday seems to work better for most as it doesn't interfere with MVMCP. I haven't officially booked yet (though getting reservations at Jiko shouldn't be too challenging, as it is above the normal dining plan pricing)...I was thinking it would work perfectly after Animal Kingdom's close, which is at 6pm. ; Pixelmania schedule has provision for EMH at Magic Kingdom starting at 8pm, so dinner would slot in nicely (and also maybe for Paul who wanted to see Osbourne lights). So maybe reservations for 6:30 to 7pm? ; I don't think we'd have a problem booking it on late notice - but I figured I'd try getting an early feel for the numbers. ; I will be driving to AK Lodge that morning, and bussing to AK...so on the way back from Jiko I can transport up to 4 back to a resort area or park of choice (my plan will be to head to Wilderness Lodge, and boat over to MK...that way I can do some night photography over at the lodge too that night). ; Anyone wanting to go to MK can boat over with me from Wilderness, or I could drop off at a resort too.
Re: Pixelmania Dinner - Jiko, Saturday Dec. 5, 6:3 I will have to back out because of the Osbourne Lights situation and since I will be eating at Yak and Yeti @ 4pm already (which I forgot about) I won't be ready to eat again anyway. ; Sorry about that Justin.
OK...couldn't get a reservation in that time. ; Tried for 4, but not available. ; Boy, I hate the advanced dining reservation system and the dining plan!!! I personally would just do it as a walkup (I have actually never made reservations at Disney, especially Jiko, but thought I'd try for this occasion - FAILED!). ; So many people stick in 10 reservations for places, then cancel what they aren't using, that there is usually no problem getting in, especially at Jiko's higher price level. If anyone is willing to give it the college try with me as a walkup around that time, just heading over after AK and see what we can get...I guess it'll have to be more spontaneously planned (I'll call too while we're up there to see if something opened up).
I wouldn't want to put anyone out of their plans... I'd be willing to go earlier if that would work for anyone else, but don't get any relatives angry by bumping them off their plans! ; I'm OK with walkup too. ; Either way. ; Maybe see if anyone else wants to go first...before deciding.
Re: Pixelmania Dinner - Jiko, Saturday Dec. 5, 6:3 LOL... no worries about bumping the family. They actually would rather eat later anyways. I really appreciate the consideration. Hopefully, we can get a few more to chime in for a walkup.
Cool...sounds good. ; I was afraid if you switched, there'd be an angry family standing outside the Jiko windows, glaring at us! ; So we got two - we'll see if a few more get on board too.
