ok i know it wasn't real well attended, but if we move the dates i really will miss the yacht club lobby, oh and look it's the genco olive oil company, and there's vito corleone, with michael on his lap, right there on the steps with the white fedora on
Nice detail. ; Sorry I missed that one - had full intention of going too. ; Decided to head back to the room after our daytime meet, to quick refresh and change, plopped on the bed, laid back for a sec...and I was out cold at 9pm (this from someone who goes to bed at 2-4am every night). The silver lining was that I made the early morning meet the next day...pretty much unheard of for me. ;
Thank you. I really didn't do too much in post processing other than cropping out some black sky and then sharpening. The colors and saturation are pretty much what I started with.
I really like the Yacht Club display. ; Thanks to Gary and Tim for introducing me to it last year. ; This year, I set the white balance to 2500K to get a cooler, more natural look to the lights.
Nice shooting guys! ; Now I'm feeling sorry I missed it this year...but thinking back, that extra long sleep was nice, so I guess it all balances out. ; Next year, I'm not missing the Christmas display over there.
Thanks. ; I was travelling light and used the rented Sigma 50mm 1.4 for my shots. ; I really like the shallow DOF on the first one. Tim, now I understand why you were using such a big lens. ; Great job!
thanks, dennis. ; you really need to get in there to steal the moment. ; i got tired of tripoding though and did a lot of those handheld. ;
and here is that full display for those who haven't seen it yet, well actually this is the backside, well it's really a 360 display
