Spent some time wandering around my town last night. Lots going on after a hot, humid day and people getting out to enjoy the warm evening nights. 25th Anniversary of my favorite pizza place, Pizza Man, had recently opened a pub next door with 50 cent pizza slices and a dozen clams for only $4.99! Both were excellent washed down with a cold Sam Adams Draft. The Seneca River, the life blood of the turn of the century Baldwinsville, has once again revived the town. Using state grants and local business investment, Baldwinsville mayors and town board over the last 10 years have sparked the opening of many new restaurants, pubs and an amphitheater. Lock 24 open for business. Many boaters moor nearby to take advantage of those restaurants and the many concerts and festivals held in the lock vicinity throughout the summer. Entertaining a deck full of restaurant patrons, Dr. Paul (a dentist by day) using a guitar, harmonica and some digital assistance performs everything from oldies, pop and modern country favorites.
Very Nice Scott. I love the way you composed these shots & your home town resembles mine alot. Except here we call our waterways "Bayous".
Check out my "Random Shots" in this section. These are not of the Bayous, but they are of buildings & wooded areas along the bayous. I will need to get out & take some of our Shrimp boats & such along the bayous. Another reason to get out & play with the camera.
