I'm not sure if this belongs here but I going to think for the time being it does, lol.

Has anyone ever done a photomosaic before? If so please share!

I'm working on one now. :)

I played around with this for a long time and here's the best I could come up with. ; They dont display too well on the internet - but I printed poster-size at Walgreens, and it's awesome!

View in original size to get an idea of how it'll look when printed out.

I just noticed this is a rather old post, but I'll still reply ; :)

In my opinion its all about finding the right image to map your pictures too. ; Dont be discouraged, and plan on spending alot of time with trial and error.

I failed to mention that I did not do these "by hand". ; I used a program called Centarsia, thats no longer available, due to a legal matter I guess.
I fed into the database about 4000 pictures for it to choose from to map to the image of Mickey. ; It took the computer about an hour (if I remember correctly) to do it's part. ; Then there were about 30 or 40 pictures that I either touched up or replaced myself in Corel PhotoPaint.

So dont be intimidated... ; there's software out there to do all the heavy lifting. ; The only hard part is having enough images for the program to choose from. ; And if your a disney fan, thats not really difficult is it ;)
