Earlier this week there were some wonderful pictures of Florida evening sun posted on here...This morning I took my son to Villano Beach (St. Augustine) with his Karate school for Karate on the Beach - we had to be at the school at 5:15 A.M.!

Here are the first two pictures of this morning's sunrise:

The second picture I have done some work on - I didn't get the horizion straight, so I had to fix it.

    Hope everyone enjoys!

very pretty! I've never been to the beach that early!

I've been experimenting with pre dawn light. adjusting white balance to tungsten for deeper blue and playing with the exposure times.

Thanks, everyone. ; I'm quite happy with the results I got on Saturday - of course, the sky cooperated perfectly! ; I'll have more later in the week, as I need to do some more processing on them to get what I want, but I have a couple more that I like quite well.

As I'm quite fond of saying, Every once in a while, even a blind squirrel finds a nut!

For me the phrase will always be "even a stopped clock gives the right time twice a day".

Bonus points to anyone that knows what that's from. ; Either the source that I know it from, or who they got it from. ; To tell the truth I don't even know where they got it from.. but I'd be impressed if anyone else knows it.

I believe it has been used in several movies and television shows (Sopranos), but I don't know the original source.

    Wow...talk about coincidence!!!

I start a thread with some pictures, someone makes a quote as a reply to one of my posts, someone knows what movie has used that quote...and it happens to be a movie that was filmed less than 10 miles from where I live!!!

    dang...that's cool!!!

I hope to have a couple more pictures this evening.
