Here is the first time I saw this type of plane fly in person. This is the same type of plane that Lt. Commander Adrian Marks disobeyed standing orders to not land in open ocean and he rescued 56 of the sailors that were still in the water. I believe that only 316 of the some 900 sailors that were set adrift survived. They were in the water for 3.5 days before they were spotted and then the rescue began.
