This is strictly a rumor but I heard that Disney is working on making the Osbourne lights dance in sync to the music this year. Last year a video spread around the internet of Christmas lights on someone's house dancing to the music. Disney was so impressed that they are looking into doing this themselves with the Osbourne display.
That shouldn't be too difficult, should it? ; I mean, there have been devices available for the past 10 years at least designed to co-ordinate light action with sounds. ; We used to have a small one for the mini-lights at a house I lived at in University in '95/'96. ; And DJ's have been using devices in tandem with intelligent lighting systems for as long to get the lights to 'dance' to whatever music was playing. ; I'd think Disney should have access to pretty cutting-edge LX and Sound technology, so it shouldn't be that much 'work' to put something like this together (less than LX-scaping the whole place, certainly, even with the 'light choreography' element)
I saw that video last year. ; It was amazing and impressing... but I wouldn't want it on my street!!! ; : I wouldn't be surprised at all if there was a good music-synched light display this year at WDW~
