    It looks like we will have to go back this year. :( NOT. ;
    The only problem is I love POR but I think we should try something different in the moderate range.

    Any suggestions?
    Tell me your favorite mod and why, please.

    Ham Ham, we are going to take the DVC tour and hopefully "get" the use year thing straight in my head.

    For moderates, I like Port Orleans French Quarter. ; It's a nice, smaller resort with a great pool. ; Only one bus stop, so there's no driving around the place for hours looking for your stop. ; The beignets in the food court are almost worth the price of admission.

    My second choice is Coronado Springs. ; It's MUCH, MUCH bigger, but I love the theming there. ; Downsides there are the size of the place, although the walk around the lake is lovely, and the price of breakfast in the food court. ; A lot of conventioneers with expense accounts stay here, so the prices reflect that.

    Pop Century is a great choice too. ; It's a value resort, so the rooms are slightly smaller, but it is well designed, and has a great fun theme.

    Our favourite Mod is CSR. ; It is large but the theming is awesome, the Pepper Market is great, and the pool area is the best in our eyes for the moderates. ; The buses are great too! ; ; Even though it is large, we really didn't find it a big deal, and there are quiet pools all around.

    Next would be POFQ, it is smaller, no quiet pools, not a big fan of the pool (very busy, not too big etc.). ; The theming is great, but the food court is really not for us (to each his own, we really like the PM at CSR). ; That being said, we still really like the resort and are heading back there next month. ; I wish they would make their gift shop bigger!!!!!!!! ; The one big plus is having the boat to go to Downtown Disney (DH loves to do that) ; ; Funny thing, Kevings wrote about the beignets, they are good......but man, are they bad for the wasteline :D

    Either way, I don't think you can go wrong with either one of them.

    Sean and I have stayed at two mod resorts so far. ; We stayed at FQ for our honeymoon. ; It was a nice area and small so it was a bit easier to get around, but I think we would have liked it more had Sean's uncle not shown up unexpectedly and stayed with us (not fun at the time). ; But definitely FQ was nice and peaceful. ;

    Kevings, you mentioned the pool at FQ, not sure I could swim at that pool ever, but it was nice. ; There was a hot tub too, but I found when we went it was a bit dirty with leaves.

    In December we stayed at Caribbean Beach. ; I really liked it. ; We got in the Aruba area and it was fairly quiet. ; There was about a 5 minute walk to the food court, but it was a nice walk. ; I loved the little beach and hammocks that was just outside our building so we could relax and we had a private pool as well. ; No one used it because everyone wanted to be at the main pool at Old Port Royale. ; The other bonus was we were so close to every park and Downtown Disney. ; The Internal Bus really didn't take that long to get around and then leave the Resort to go to the parks either. ; I really liked the gift shop at Old Port Royale too. ; I think I looked in it like every day. ; It was much bigger than the one at FQ.

    Well it's official. Trip is booked and CSR is the resort. POR is booked up for our dates so the choice was made for us. I can't believe it's full but we needed twelve days so maybe they couldn't fit us in.

    We saved around 7 hundred bucks from rack rate with 10 day Park Hoppers and Dinning with CAA. Trying the dinning again because the eating is a part of our trip we enjoy and we used it to the fullest the last trip but I guess this time with the changes we shall see if it is still worth it.

    I'm wondering if it has something to do with POP Warner. Hopefully it's not too busy.

    Chris.

    When are you going? I love POP and have stayed there many times. Our next trip to WDW we are trying French Quarter for some of the reasons mini-canadian pointed out its smaller and I like the theming. I hope the pool in clean that's one of the reasons I picked that the resort the pool looked neat.
