Nice work, Scott! ; I'm looking forward to the county fair in a couple of weeks and I'm especially looking forward to judging 4-H photography again this year. ;
A couple of friends of mine judge the 4-H photography at the NYS Fair. It's a tough job. ; The kids are really good.
I completely understand. ; The photography team is always the last one out of the building on entry day. ; After the conference judging ends it often takes another 5-6 hours to select class champion, Jr & Sr Grand champion and the e overall grand champion. ; It's a long day but it is a lot of fun.
Funny you should say that. ; The exposure is only a half second. ; Any longer and the people would disappear totally.
Nice set, Scott. ; I made four trips to the Indiana State Fair this year, but never made it to sunset.
I got my real start in photography while in 4-H. ; And that Ferris Wheel is awesome. (Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk)
New set of the living things people can see and interact with at this year's Fair. Monarch butterflies like bright colors like on a Steelers fan's hat. A happy Australian Shepherd dog greets Fairgoers inside the 4-H Youth Building. DiVine, is that you? Used spot metering to grab focus through the bars of this rooster's cage.
Great stuff Scott! ; I love the butterflies on the hat, now if they would just leave a little gift for the owner that would be great! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I turn my camera on the young people at the Fair. Thoroughly Modern Millie by Scottwdw Kids are so optimistic. ; This boy was not bothered at all that not one of the 100 bottles had a ring on it. Young girl and her cow..only at the Fair. Here is my favorite young person at the Fair who is serving me a raspberry pie and ice cream with a smile.
The Coliseum is a tough building to photograph in without the use of strobes that the horse photographers use. I was delighted when I saw the sunlight come in through the high western windows in the late afternoon. ; It allowed me to use a 1/250s shutter on the slow Nikon 28-300VR lens at f/5.6 and 112mm FL.
