    Thought I would start a thread to place all my New York State Fair photos for 2012. ; Got a few earlier this week and will be going back this weekend.

    On my blog today (8/31), I shared a few night photos from the Fair. Click on the photo to see more.

    Nice work, Scott! ; I'm looking forward to the county fair in a couple of weeks and I'm especially looking forward to judging 4-H photography again this year. ;

    A couple of friends of mine judge the 4-H photography at the NYS Fair. It's a tough job. ; The kids are really good.

    I completely understand. ; The photography team is always the last one out of the building on entry day. ; After the conference judging ends it often takes another 5-6 hours to select class champion, Jr & Sr Grand champion and the e overall grand champion. ; It's a long day but it is a lot of fun.

    Nice work Scott. ; I really like the first one, it almost seems as if the people were jogging by.

    Funny you should say that. ; The exposure is only a half second. ; Any longer and the people would disappear totally.

    Wow, I guess since they were all walking and going in the same direction. ;

    Nice set, Scott. ; I made four trips to the Indiana State Fair this year, but never made it to sunset.

    I got my real start in photography while in 4-H. ; And that Ferris Wheel is awesome.

    New set of the living things people can see and interact with at this year's Fair.

    Monarch butterflies like bright colors like on a Steelers fan's hat.

    Great stuff Scott! ; I love the butterflies on the hat, now if they would just leave a little gift for the owner that would be great!

    Kids are so optimistic. ; This boy was not bothered at all that not one of the 100 bottles had a ring on it.

    Here is my favorite young person at the Fair who is serving me a raspberry pie and ice cream with a smile.

    The Coliseum is a tough building to photograph in without the use of strobes that the horse photographers use. I was delighted when I saw the sunlight come in through the high western windows in the late afternoon. ; It allowed me to use a 1/250s shutter on the slow Nikon 28-300VR lens at f/5.6 and 112mm FL.
