After watching several episodes of DTown TV (http://www.dtowntv.com) I noticed they repeatedly reminded us to update our firmware. ; I went to the website for Nikon Firmware updates (http://support.nikontech.com/app/answer ... a_id/13783) and noticed that my firmware for my D300 is really outdated (current version is 1.10 and mine is A: 1.02 and B: 1.00). I'm wondering if any of the other D300 users have upgraded and if so, should I. ; Also, I'm not seeing a firmware history. ; So, I'm wondering if the 1.10 version is the next one after the version released with my camera or if there were other releases in between. ; If so, I'm wondering what else has changed. Once change in the 1.10 release that is intriguing me is the fact that I have more control over the minimum shutter speed with the Auto ISO control. ; Currently mine fastest shutter speed is 1/250s
I did the upgrade a long time ago with no problems since. My favorite part of the upgrade is after taking a vertical (portrait) shot, the review is also vertical. It is much easier to review on a tripod. The auto iso feature is nice too, but hasn't affected any of my shots yet. I think there was one update prior to the 1.10 release. Last Spring I think. I think Roger did it before I bought his camera.
