OK, that subject line sounds a little strange. BlackRapid as released a new camera strap designed specifically for women, the RS WS-1. ; The front side of the strap is curved so it fits comfortably between those bumps that most women (and some men) have on their chest.
It depends on your situation. ; I wouldn't recommend one in a big, tightly-packed crowd, but otherwise it's not too bad. ; I found that I tended to keep my right hand on the camera when I was walking around to keep it from bouncing around too much. ; I even used it with a 70-200 zoom; connecting to the tripod socket on the lens meant it hung perfectly balanced at my side. If you get a chance to try one out, do so. ; They're kind of expensive to just buy on a whim.
Actually I think it could be better, it will depend on your style/camera bag. ; I like where it hangs, and I usually keep one hand on it when I'm going through a crowd of people.....
I like this, a lot better than my regular strap. ; I always wear my camera over one shoulder, and hold it in that hand to keep it from bouncing around AND to keep some random person from knocking into it. ; I think that I like the RS-5 and am really thinking of getting this now. ; Thanks!
Actually, it doesn't sound that strange coming from you, Dennis. This is on my Christmas list but I think I might ask for it for Halloween. ;D
