I finally have my new website up and running! ; I wasn't happy with the old site and wanted to create something more professional. ; Its not quite finished yet... I still need to move some of my older photos to the new site and I haven't written the "About" page. Anyway, if you have a minute, please check it out and let me know what you think. www.msummersphotography.com
Michael, I think it looks great. ; I love the white background and it's all very professional looking. ; I'm pretty pleased with SmugMug myself and did a comparison order from Bay Photo with them and Mpix with Zenfolio. ; I thought Bay Photo was pretty outstanding. ; I never can resist your train and train related photos. ; Really great stuff in your black and white gallery and that would be my only suggestion. ; You might consider moving that to your Railroad Galleries...as I almost missed it and there is some pretty great stuff in there. ; I love the first one. ; You might even consider giving Black and White its own gallery all together. I know how much work went into that. ; It's beautiful. ; Well done and professional.
Thanks Roni! ; I've never done any programming before so learning how to write the code for it, even though it wasn't that much was a challenge. I'm still debating about where to put the B&W gallery. ; Eventually there will be non-railroad photos in that gallery too, so it should be separate from the railroad category. ; When I set the categories on the main gallery page, I wanted to keep the number of categories down to what fits on a computer screen at one time. ; Since everyone seems to be getting wide screens that decision limits me to 6 categories. ; Landscape, Railroad, Disney & Architecture are what I shoot the most it made sense to have each of them on the main gallery page which left only two spots to cover everything else. ; If I can figure out how to get it to put 3 categories in a row I think I will put B&W on the main page as well.
