    I decided I needed a small camera for those times that I didn't want to lug around a dSLR. ; I wanted one with as many dSLR-like features as possible, including an optical viewfinder.

    I decided that if a Canon G10 was good enough for Tim, it was good enough for me. ; So I purchased a G11, which has replaced the G10. ;

    After shooting a few test photos to make sure it worked, I took it to Cincinnati to see the world premiere of Trans-Siberian Orchestra's new show, Beethoven's Last Night. ; Nothing like an easy project for the first time out, eh?

    The lighting was difficult, at best. ; Everyone was lit from either behind or overhead. ; Here are a few of the shots that came out. ; Only the first one had any noise reduction applied.

    My only real complaint so far is the limited aperture range. ; The smallest setting is f/8. ; There is an electronic 3-stop ND filter available if things get too bright.

    I'm looking forward to trying it out in more normal circumstances next month at WDW, and at a couple of concerts in July (Weird Al in Merrillville, Indiana and Iron Maiden in Detroit).

    Looks like it did a great job in tough conditions. ; Can't wait to see what else you get with the new camera. ; Congrats on the purchase.
