for your consideration, my icicle castle, although i do have a more blue shaded one that will probably end up being my wall print [This attachment has been purged. Older attachments are purged from time to time to conserve disk space. Please feel free to repost your image.]
ok here is another, i think i got too impatient and did not wait long enough for the pink/red version, but if i remember correctly it was quite a few minutes between cycles i think this is the one that will make the grade as my wall print [This attachment has been purged. yeah i kind of liked the second more right from the first view on the monitor and btw, if it looks similar to tim's shot it's because i was standing to his immediate right taking my photos at the same time as tim
Here is my copy. I was standing between Gary and Tim, but I am extremely short and couldn't get my camera up higher than the people in front of us, that is why a head is ruining my shot
Gary, I agree with everyone, the second is great, plus the partners are framed perfectly. Harra, yours is great, perfect colors of the lights, I cant see a head or other problem at all. great photo! Here is another of mine from the front of the castle. [This attachment has been purged. Older attachments are purged from time to time to conserve disk space. Please feel free to repost your image.]
Nice shots from everyone! I like that 2nd shot Gary - the full statue in the shot really makes it. Harra, that head looks bald and catching some gold light, so it blends right in! Craig, I like that closer perspective with the extra Christmas lights at the base. I never had the chance to get a good shot right in front of the castle, because I didn't do MVMCP - so I always had to contend with the wild cattle drive to get everyone out right after dark because both nights I was at MK was on a Christmas party night!
Nice shot Ray! That shade of blue looks great with the icicle lights. take a look at this... http://www.photokina-show.com/0358/zigv ... glefinder/ It would help get the camera up high enough to get the shots you want.
Well, since we're posting Ice Castle pictures...this one is a bit different. Hand held, on Saturday, December 15. What do you think? Kevin
Thanks...I caught that kind of on a fluke...we were on the way out, and walked through the castle, and I just couldn't resist trying a couple of these. I have one about 50 feet further out, but this one is the best. Kevin
