So last week proved to be like most trips to Forsythe for me, either bad lighting due to crummy weather or no good birds. ; This day was to be no good birds. ; There were plenty of geese and pintails (I happen to like the look of the pintails) but no real birds of prey to speak of. ; Here are the two shots from 3 loops around that I liked. Pintails by jbwolffiv, on Flickr Pintails #2 by jbwolffiv, on Flickr
Both are excellent, John. ; Reflections in the first show added depth. ; The second looks like it could be on a hunting stamp. ; The only way to have more opportunities is to go move often. ; I know Howie has days there with little to photograph. ; Persistence is a trait all wildlife photographers (heck, all photographers) must have.
What's common to one person is special to another - I'd love to see those pintails, as they rarely make it down my way. ; Nice shooting, especially considering limitations in weather - the second shot is lovely and crisp with good detail. Any time you want more of a guarantee with bird shooting, come on down here to Florida - any given day, I can bring you around a 1 mile walking loop and guarantee 50 species minimum, and usually numbering in the dozens of each!
Thanks Justin. ; It would be great to shoot some birds in Florida instead of just concentrating on WDW! ; I may take you up on that some day!
