I wasn't prepared for her a year ago, so this time I was: <img src="http://www.themeparkphotos.us/cpg140/albums/uploads/030108/F/226e2941_52.jpg" /> <img src="http://www.themeparkphotos.us/cpg140/albums/uploads/030108/F/226e2943_50.jpg" /> <img src="http://www.themeparkphotos.us/cpg140/albums/uploads/030108/F/226e2945_49.jpg" />
Am I one of the few that actually doesn't mind the show? (But won't be upset if Adventureland morphs, which I am beginning to doubt will happen)
We like Tiki birds too roger. But I have to admit that I don't have any good pics from there because it has been a long time since we saw the show. The show is too dark for the 18-200 and I didnt have the 1.4 50 the last time we saw the show. I took some flash shots of some details in the room after the show, but the flash just looks horribly wrong in the photos. During the MVMCP or MNSSHP (I cant remember) the cast members were practically begging guests to see the show. And we still didn't go in.
The new version is ok, but not great. I prefer the original over the new one because I think the older one was more entertaining. I remember going to see the original version every time we were at WDW and the show was always full. Now, it seems like they're always begging people to come in. I guess I'll have to go to California to see the original again...
It's fun...but count me in as a fan of the older version too. The lighting, and color, of the new one is nice, and some elements of it are still fun...but I miss the full version of the original song without the interruption and the conversion to rap. I haven't gone in myself in probably 2 years - I tend to go in when I feel guilty - I see it as I pass by, and only a handful of people are on the line...so I break down every few years and jump in.
They beg there too. Now if the park is really busy I'm sure they'll get overflow just because there is nowhere else to go.
It's become another ride that I absolutely have to bring in earplugs for. Otherwise some of those voices are loud enough to just bore straight into my skull! Especially Gilbert Gottfried. I don't really remember the original, so I can't comment on the newer version in comparison. I'm interested in getting a good shot of the exterior of the building at night, that tower structure in particular. I like the way they used colored lighting on it, I think it has potential, but so far I've only gotten a blurred and overexposed shot of it.
I like the show but I think I like the original better. How did you get the different angles of her. Where you sitting in the right place and caught her turning?
Yes, I was finally sitting in almost the perfect place. In the past, she always had her back to me most of the time.
