The Syracuse University Marching Band was playing in the Quad before kickoff of the Penn State/SU game. While waiting to start, the clarinetists made a nice arrangement of their instruments. Many a photographer was recording this image. While the game was terrible, unless you are a Penn State fan, the band put on a great show.
It's not a matter of probably...just when it will happen. Robinson never got anything rolling. Rumors have the current Oakland Raiders coach coming here once he gets fired since SU's Athletic Director and him were buddies at USC. : Not too keen on that scenario.
Hey Kiffin came from USC, and some people do better in the college system (Saban, Patrino, Spurrier, Carroll) while others do better in the NFL (Weis). It took Dave Wannstedt a few years but he seems to have turned around Pitt.
I hope so, Roger. Half the student section didn't return for the second half and the Dome was a tomb by the end of the game. Very sad as they were celebrating the life of Ernie Davis with the premiere of the movie, "The Express", held in Syracuse the night before.
I saw the update on that story. Seems that the owner of the Raiders is an Orangeman. And he donates a lot of money. So I doubt Syracuse would bite the hand that feeds it.
