Inspired by someone else's lovely shot of a glass artist at work in MK...I decided to try a shot of the glass artist at work over his flame in Mexico. ; I wanted to get the metering somewhat on the flame, but not blacking out the rest of the scene so much that it was black - just that faint red glow illuminating the artist and background: I also always loved the scenic interior of Mexico's pavilion, and decided to snap a few 'night' shots of the town scenes:
Nice shots Justin. ; I took a few shots while at dinner there 2 years ago that I like. ; I am assuming you used a tripod?
They look like they are hand held to me but I've been known to be wrong before. ; I like the reflection of the flame in the first one.
Thanks all. ; The first shot is handheld...the second two are handheld but steadied against a rail or armrest. ; The third I placed the camera down on a shelf and propped it up on the neck strap, and used the timer to take that one - it was 20 seconds, so even with a steady hand I couldn't handhold that one!
I did have my tripod though! ; I just didn't bother to unravel it for those inside shots - not as convenient to set one up inside with people walking all around.
