Depends on what you want it for. That's from before Apple switched to the Intel processors, so with a the PowerPC CPU that slow, lots if not most new software probably won't even run.
Thanks Erich, I was looking for a way to start learning Aperture, but my brother-in-law said the same thing so I passed on it.
Actually, I'm surprised at how well Aperture runs on older Intel-based Apple hardware. I also have a 5 year old MacBook Pro laptop and have no problem with Aperture. Well, other than using up the HD space really fast. Sure, I can tell it's working hard, but it's still plenty fast enough to not even hesitate using it. Erich
