Hello all! Recently stumbled across this site and I have got to say, its the most helpful one so far! I am happy to have joined up so I can share my experience with others that share my passion for both photography and all things DISNEY.

Im looking for some interesting subject ideas, being as Disney (World) is Huge and I am a relatively new photographer.

    Thanks!

well, if you are a beginner, then the 'World is like a blank canvas. Shoot often and everywhere and see what styles you develop for yourself. Welcome!

Welcome to the forum Ryan. Yes, as Tim said shoot a lot and make sure you have lots of memory cards! And don't be afraid to experiment and try something you might not have in the past.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! My medium in the past has always been nature/ natural landscapes. Being an avid backpacker/outdoorsmen, I decided to take my photography one step further and get a dslr camera- one of the best investments I have made.

Welcome to the boards, Ryan. Disney is a great place to learn photography because you can do so much in so little space.

Welcome aboard, Ryan. Since you have experience with outdoor photography, you'll have plenty of opportunities at Disney World. Admittedly, the "natural" landscapes were all designed, but they were designed to look natural.

Also, don't be afraid to look up or down. There are interesting details everywhere, not just at eye level.

Explore the photos posted on this site as well as the members' individual sites. You will find many ideas and the work of many excellent photographers.

Indeed welcome, and enjoy Disney (I'm guessing you're now T minus 1 day?)!

As a fellow nature/wildlife photographer, I can assure you you'll have a wonderful time photographing Disney, whether it be for finding new styles of photography and new subjects, or capturing beautiful landscapes, macros, animal shots, and architectural details. It's a photographer's dream.

Pay particular attention to the little details, and wander down any little offshoot trail you see - go behind buildings, through archways, into alcoves, down stairs...wherever you don't see as many people, be sure to check it out - especially at Animal Kingdom and at Epcot too.

    Have a great time!
