Took DD 14 and two of her friends to the Jonas Brothers appearance on Much Musics show Much On Demand this afternoon. Lots of screaming teenage girls, surprisingly some teenage boys and women in their 20's crying. ??? They look like nice young men. The signed lots of autographs and posed for pictures. ;D
What a great Dad you are. ; I think you scored big in your daughters books for taking them to see the Jonas brothers.
Here's a trip report. We arrived downtown around 12:30. The line wrapped 2 city blocks. Girls waited in line and I went to see if there were alternative places to watch the show form. Found a place on the west sidewalk on John street from the stage. John street and the east sidewalk were closed to the public. Girls relocated to there I left them there and then headed off with my nine year old to do some shopping. 5 minutes later phone rang security moved everyone from the sidewalk. Went back and the girls returned to the line. Realizing the futility of waiting in line for a spot inside the stage area. Girls relocated again to a barrier on the south side of John street. I took DD9 to drop her off at DW work. Phone rang girls were told to move again. I returned and we then relocated to Queen Street. Huge crowds, lot of police and security kept telling folks to move along but a critical mass of folks were forming. Leaving the girls I was off to scope things out I noticed that between us and the stage were the camera platforms that would impede our view. I tried to walk down the open sdewalk on John street but the police would not let me through. Heading down Queen one street west to Peter I was able to cut down a alley I was able to get back on the open side walk on John heavy with police presence not letting people stop at all. I notice a pub on the open side of John street and a small area of a couple of hundred square feet in front of an office building. I went back the girls told them to come with me. We walked up to the barrier stopping folks from going down John street. I told the police officer that we were off to eat at the pub. He let us through. We had a bit to eat and at 4:50 popped back up onto the area in front of an office building and were no more than25 feet from the stage. At 5:00 the Joans Bros. arrived and my ear drums exploded. We had an awesome view of the whole interview.
