I went downtown the day after Tom did. ; Here are a couple of my shots. ; You can see more at my Flickr page. Looking up at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in downtown Indianapolis from within the "circle of lights". A sailor stands guard over the holiday spirit on Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis as the world rushes by all around. I had to fiddle with the white balance on this one, since the foreground light was very warm and the background was very natural. I cooled it off a bit; I feel that the resulting blue cast on the monument in the background is rather pleasing. Click on the photos to go to their Flickr page.
Hope you read the fine print when you uploaded it to them. Newspaper websites tend to grab ALL rights at that time.
