    I just returned from a week of the cruise line and then the parks. When I was about a mile from the airport on the way down, I discovered that I had left my camera bag in the kitchen. ; I felt sick to my stomach the whole way down. ; On the bright side, I felt like I got to "see" more this trip and my wife got a new little point and shoot of her own.

    You have nothing to be ashamed of. ; Did you enjoy your trip?

    That's really what matters. ; The point is to have fun.

    I couldn't agree more. ; Don't sweat forgetting the camera. ; Once mine broke on my last trip, I was a little bit more relaxed and not worried about getting all the photo's I could. ; It was kind of nice to just be there.

    Tough break indeed, but I agree with Roger and Poly. ; Most important thing is that you enjoyed yourself!

    would you believe that i forgot my camera at home while getting ready to go thru security at ACY a few years back? ; fortunately, my mom was able to come to my rescue...

    It pained me more when I first realized that I had left it. ; Turned out to be a great vacation anyway. ;

    FWIW, I remembered something this evening. ; First time I took my son to Legoland, my *fully* charged camera batteries lasted 10 shots. ; Between the two.

    They were about 3 years old at the time - ended up getting two replacements at Target shortly afterward - they actually had the first gen BP511 non-OEM at that time.

    So, remember folks, even lithium ion batteries go bad.

    I ; can only imagine what that second battery set you back, Tim.

    My trip with a broken camera, although distressing, was REALLY nice at the same time. ; I had to stop looking for things to shoot, and just enjoy myself. ; After I got over that feeling of needing to take pictures, it was a really nice and relaxing vacation. ; I'm glad that you had a good time.

    I suffered the problem of having one of my previous P&S cameras break the day we arrived @ WDW. Felt awful at first, but got over it quickly.

    Tim, What model Sony? Mine was a Sony too, Model DSC-717 I Think! The one that the lens could rotate / tilt up or down.

    glad to hear you had a great trip!

    I think Dina would be happy if I forgot the camera. I tried to take less pictures this summer and came away with 1800 total over 12 days. At least 400 of those were pre-planned shots of the contemp and blt. Still a ton of pics, but less than normal.
