Does anyone know if in the Haunted Mansion at WDW the dancing ghosts in the ballroom are mirror image like at Disneyland? When the imagineers modelled the ghosts for the haunted Mansion at Disneyland, they sculpted them dancing normally with the man leading. They overlooked that it would be the reflection of the dancers that would be used to produce the ghostly image of the dancing ghosts, therefor in the Disneyland ballroom the woman ghosts are leading the men. ; The Haunted Mansion for Disneyland was built in 1962 but did not open until two years before WDW's Haunted Mansion. Just wondering if the same models were used for both parks or if Disney corrected the dancers for WDW. I am sure I have the answer here somewhere but can't seem to find the right book, you WDW regulars must know.
If I remember correctly, the dancing ghosts are mirror images. ; And yes the women are leading the men. ; But I am not sure if the same models were used for both parks.
Sean just told me when they did the last re-furb, they did update to mirror Disneyland's Haunted Mansion because it didn't have some of the features DL had. ; So I would imagine it is pretty similar.
i believe it is the same way in DL and WWW. ; check doombuggies.com for LOADS of haunted mansion information, including how the effect is achieved.
